I am rather new to the art of the Brazilian wax, having only had a few prior to my experience today. I was always deathly afraid of the experience, and yet loathed the idea of razor bumps and shaving. Now as I look forward to my upcoming vacations, and my increase in bathing suit purchases I am excited and yet loathing the experience. The reality is, waxing that area hurts! But it doesnt last after the "procedure" is done, if performed properly!
Here are a few tips to having a mildly pleasant experience:
- Take 2 Tylenol about 30 minutes prior to your wax
- Keep the hair short 1/8 to 1/2 inch
- Rub a little Orajel on the area about 20 minutes prior to numb the skin
- Make sure the esthetician applies pressure after each pull **so important**
How do you prepare for a wax job? And I call it job, because its just as much work for me as it is for them.
